California Quail Hat

Our California Quail, embroidered on a soft, broken-in cap. The state bird, worn close.

Each cap is made to order in our San Diego studio on 100 percent cotton pigment-dyed twill, a low-profile, unstructured crown that softens and shapes to you with wear. The quail sits at the front, topknot plume and all, finished with a Nubuck leather strap and antique-brass buckle.

Pigment dyeing gives each cap a slightly weathered, lived-in tone, so color varies a little from cap to cap. It's part of the character, like a well-worn field hat!
